Matt is a principal and a strategically oriented non-profit executive with deep experience in building cultures of philanthropy. A dynamic leader in driving revenue for associations and other non-profits, Matt has more than 25 years of success harnessing the power of elite boards and talented staffs, and advancing diverse organizations. A skilled program designer and front-line fundraiser, Matt has developed and led capital campaigns ranging from $10 million to $150 million. Matt is an innovative project leader who has conceived and launched unprecedented youth recruitment programs in STEM; ocean conservation awareness initiatives and historical appreciation and preservation projects. As Director of Development at the Naval Academy Foundation, Matt helped create and lead the Naval Academy’s first-ever capital campaign “Leaders to Serve a Nation”. As Senior Vice President of Development at the Ocean Conservancy, Matt led the development team in increasing annual gifts from $7 million per year to over $15 million per year including securing five 7-figure gifts, the first at that level for the Conservancy. Matt has recently served as the Executive Director of the ASME Foundation where he launched a creative partnership for NASA to host 3D printing competitions aboard the International Space Station teaching kids about 3D design and printing software. Matt is a Naval Academy graduate and continues to serve the Navy in numerous volunteer capacities.
